Are there other popular science books as good as 'A history of nearly everything'?

I really loved Bill Bryon's book. Up till now I can't find a book about science that's so accessible and enjoyable to read as his.Are there other popular science books as good as 'A history of nearly everything'?
I'm not familiar with that book.

I did read Hawking's The Universe in a Nutshell. I'm now reading Brian Greene's The Fabric of the Cosmos and I'm really enjoying it.

Another I liked was Evolution for Everyone by David S.Wilson.

If you're looking for something more general and broad, try What Einstein Didn't Know by Robert L. Wolke. There are a few different editions.

Hope I helped. Are there other popular science books as good as 'A history of nearly everything'?
'A Brief History of Time' by Stephen Hawking
