I have to find an article from a scholarly scientific journal or peer reviewed science journal, and I was wondering if Popular Science would be considered one. Thanks for the help!Is "Popular Science" considered a scholarly scientific journal?
If you could, I would suggest reading Science magazine or another because Popular Science isn't exactly scholarly. All it is are articles of technology.
A scholarly journal is oriented towards people who are academically trained and who are employed in the area covered by the journal. Example of scholarly scientific journals are:
Journal of Accountancy, which is oriented towards CPAs.
Journal of the American Medical Association, which is oriented towards physicians.
Journal of Clinical Psychology, which is oriented towards clinical psychologists.
Popular Science is oriented towards people who enjoy technical subjects. However that magazine lacks an in-depth discussion of the complex math and physics which underlies the topics the magazine covers. Is "Popular Science" considered a scholarly scientific journal?
No, Popular Science is a magazine for the layman, just folks who are interested in science and technology.
Scholarly scientific journals aren't usually sold in stores; you need to find them in a library. Is "Popular Science" considered a scholarly scientific journal?
I don't know but anything put in there will certainly be read
